Born in India, Ritvick started producing and shooting his own films at a very young age. When he moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2015, he continued to hone his filmmaking skills through the Sisler High School Interactive Digital Media Program. After graduating with honours and a plethora of scholarships, he moved to Vancouver to further his film studies at Vancouver Film School. Following his graduation, he produced and directed “Flower Movie” for the RUN N GUN 48 Hour Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Film, Director, and Editor, and won Best Student Short Cinematography at the East Van Showcase. In 2019, he continued to make strides by placing as a finalist in Gimli Film Festival’s RBC $10,000 Pitch Competition. Most recently, he received the Harold Greenburg Fund and established his own production company Butter Chicken Films Inc to produce and direct his latest film: “Lover Boy’s Little Dream” which was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2022 Director's Guild of Canada Awards.
